They've been counted down over the previous forty days, one at a time and now are collected here for you to read the individual accolades. While some of these songs are on both commercial radio and other critical lists, we believe that the only place that some of these singles will be featured is here at Roughstock. These forty songs represent the cream of the crop of the many singles released to country radio this year. The rules for these songs to be included on this list is simple: the song had to be released to mainstream country music radio in 2008 or have peaked --on the charts-- as a single in 2008.
