Top 40 Singles of 2008: Jeremy McComb - Cold (#37)
By: Matt Bjorke

With the year drawing to a close, it's time for a rundown of the best country singles of 2008, according to the editorial team at Roughstock. For the 37th selection we've chosen the heartfelt ballad "Cold" from Parallel Records newcomer (and former Larry The Cable Guy tour manager) Jeremy McComb.
While he hasn't found much success on the charts as of yet, Jeremy McComb has still released some outstanding singles to country radio. His current single as the year ends, "Cold" is an interesting song in that it dictates various ways in which a woman has left the man feeling without her. The vocal from McComb engaged us and and the production of this pop-leaning song only helped reinforce our opinion on how well this song was crafted. While it likely has a tough road ahead at radio, the single is nonetheless one of the year's finest performances.
