Top 40 Singles of 2008: Taylor Swift - Should've Said No (#34)

The stockings are being hung and the trees and houses are being decorated to celebrate the yuletide season while the end of the year fast approaches.  In celebration of the best singles released to radio in 2008, Roughstock's editorial team has selected their 40 favorite songs.  Here's Number 34.

Until I heard "Our Song," I didn't really understand what all the fuss was about Taylor Swift. But upon hearing the song, I immediately got it.  The girl can flat-out write a strong song.  While her voice is never going to be her strong suit, songs like "Should've Said No" have a catchy beat, relatable lyrics (to more than tweens and teens) and a producer (Nathan Chapman) who understands how to make Taylor Swift sound great.  It's a pop-based affair but "Should've Said No" is still one of 2008's best singles.
