Heartfelt. Beautiful. Eloquent. Romantic. These are just four adjectives that describe Mac McAnally's mid-2009 single "You First."  While this song wasn't a big hit, that doesn't mean it isn't one of the best songs of 2009 (or any other year this decade). 

With one little Christmas song, Joey + Rory have showcased, much like they did with their The Life of a Song album, just how much love they share.  It's a Christmas song that deserves the title "instant classic," right along with the traditional holiday standards.

Some people will say this single doesn't deserve being one of Roughstock's Best Singles of 2009 while others will think that it's too low on the charts. We love the song but we loved other songs even more. Still, the song is our 31st favorite of the year.  Agree?
