If you ever wanted to know what true love looks like, just take a look at Joey + Rory. The husband and wife team came out of ‘nowhere’ last year to win the hearts of thousands on CMT’s first season of Can You Duet. After releasing the fine album The Life of a Song last year, the duo has returned this holiday season with the charming and warm “It’s Christmas Time.” (Watch the video here)
Available digitally and for requests on your local radio stations, “It’s Christmas Time” is simply an instant classic in my household as it tells of the feelings I have always had for Christmas. Anybody can go buy a Christmas gift or celebrate the holiday but that’s not really what Christmas is about, it’s about being with or thinking of family and faith in the birth of the man who started the whole celebration. The song also features a gorgeous acoustic melody that fits right in with the other stuff that Joey + Rory have released in the past. If this single’s any indication, a whole Christmas album from Joey +Rory in 2010 is a must have.
