Exclusive Premiere: The Texas Trio - “Concho Valley Ride”

We love a great fiddle-laced country song and this new track from The Texas Trio’s debut album fits the bill! Listen here!

You might not know the names for 2/3 of The Texas Trio, but if you’ve been to an Asleep At The Wheel, George Strait or several Texas-based swing and country concerts over the past 18 years, you have definitely HEARD John Michael Whitby and Jason Roberts play as they played in bands with those stars and others like Randy Rogers Band, Willie Nelson and more. The third member of this trio is independent Texas Music star Kyle Park. Park is seven albums deep into a career which regularly earns him #1 hits on the Texas Music charts. After a few years performing together informally, the three have decided to join forces as The Texas Trio and are set to release their debut album on May 17, 2024.

To help celebrate the band’s upcoming album, and as fans of Texas Swing music ourselves, Roughstock is proud to have partnered with the band to bring the great new track “Concho Valley Ride” from the trio’s self-titled The Texas Trio album. Their reverence for this style is joined by classic country music styles as well and we look forward to the release of their debut album and hope you enjoy this great new track as much as we do!

About The Song:
“My friend and bassist, Albert Quaid, and I were driving to San Angelo, TX for a gig. We started talking about the Concho River that runs through San Angelo. I started humming a tune, we traded lyrics back and forth, and in maybe an hour, Concho Valley Ride was born!”-Jason Roberts
