Parmalee Score Fourth Number One Single With “Girl In Mine”

For the third time in three years, Parmalee is on top at Country Radio.

Riding a wave that no other duo or band has achieved in the past three years, Stoney Creek Records’ Parmalee has scored three consecutive #1 hits at country radio with “Girl In Mine.” The song topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase radio chart this week.

“It’s a beautiful thing when fans start to really connect with a song, and you feel the energy every night when they’re singing it. Back to you,” said lead singer Matt Thomas. “Every #1 is special, but this one is for the fans.”

“Girl In Mine” follows their record-setting #1 “Take My Name,” which was Billboard’s most-played Country song in 2022, and the viral platinum #1 hit duet “Just The Way” with Blanco Brown. The band first topped the charts with their song “Carolina.” That song was inspired by their home state.

Parmalee recently expanded 2022’s For You as For You 2, a record which now has five additional tunes, including “Girl In Mine,” a song Matt Thomas wrote with David Fanning, Ashley Gorley, Casey Brown and Travis Wood. The other new songs are “Gonna Love You,” “Is It Just Me,” “Boyfriend,” and “Wish You Never Loved Me.”

The band recently concluded a tour with Grammy winners Train and have a full slate of shows set to finish out 2023 while they work towards joining Kane Brown on his In The Air Tour in 2024.
