Get Ready for 14 new tunes coming your way this October. The album features the new pre-release track “Have A Good Time” and the radio hits “Beers & Sunshine” and “Fires Don’t Start Themselves.”

Titled in honor of Darius Rucker’s dearly departed mother (who is featured on the album cover art), Carolyn’s Boy offers 14 new tracks including the #1 hit “Beers and Sunshine,” rising hit “Fires Don’t Start Themselves,” “Ol’ Church Hymn” (which feature Chapel Heart) and “Lift Me Up,” his take on the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack hit. The track “Have A Good Time” has also been released. Darius co-wrote 10 of the 14 tracks and some of the writers on the track include Charles Kelley (of Lady A), Sarah Burton, Levi Lowrey, Brad Tursi (of Old Dominion), Hardy and pop icons Rihanna and Ed Sheeran.

The country music icon first earned acclaim as the lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, a band with 25 million albums sold worldwide, including the Double Diamond Cracked Rear View (currently at 21x Platinum), a record which is one of the Top 10 best-selling albums of all time. Since his country debut in 2008, Darius Rucker has earned four #1 records including the Platinum-certified albums Learn To Live and True Belieers. He’s scored 10 #1 radio hits and has achieved eleven Gold, Platinum or Multi-Platinum RIAA-certified hits, among them the 11x Platinum (Diamond- certified) version of Old Crow Medicine Show’s “Wagon Wheel,” one of the best-selling country songs of all time.

“I wanted to name the record Carolyn’s Boy because Mom never got to see any of my success,” Rucker explained during the “TODAY” interview. “She died before any of this happened, so it’s just another homage to the greatest woman I’ve ever known.”

When asked why now is the right time to honor her, Rucker was reflective, conceding, “years ago, I wasn’t really sure what my place in Country music was and I was trying to find it. Now I have found it – I know – and I think it’s time to give that record.”
