Nate Smith Achieves Largest Album Debut For New Artist In 2023; Biggest Launch since 2020

On the strength of streaming powerhouse songs like “Wreckage” and #1 hit “Whiskey On You,” Nate Smith starts his album career with major accolades.

After experiencing tumult and turmoil in his life prior to becoming a recording artist, Nate Smith has had a lot to say and it’s no surprise that one of the most-emotive vocalists to emerge in country music Post-Stapleton is actually drawing the kind of interest Nate Smith has drawn to date. His debut single “Whiskey On You” hit #1 on both radio charts while his self-titled RCA Nashville debut has proven to be a powerhouse as well as the album had the largest debut from a new artist in all of 2023 and proved to be the best full-length album debut from a new artists since 2020.

The album debuted at #6 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and started at #30 overall on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart. The powerhouse vocalist is also a nominee for New Artist of the Year at the 58th ACM Awards, streaming live tomorrow on Amazon Prime from Frisco, Texas. The Platinum-certified singer/songwriter celebrated the debut of his album both as one of CRS 2023’s New Faces performers and last week with an electric show at Skydeck on Broadway in Nashville. The latter performance was preceded by a meet & greet with Healthcare Heroes as part of the Musicians on Call program, giving the Heroes with Love Your Melon “Hero Caps.”
