Granger Smith To Host Radio Show "After Midnite"

Texas-based touring legend set to take on radio with same energetic spirt he's delivered for every step of his career from college to bars to arenas and beyond.

After word leaked out yesterday that CMA Award winning Daily National Personality of the year Cody Alan was leaving the CMT After MidNite after his New Year’s Eve show on December 31, word has leaked today that Granger Smith, the singer behind several hits including the #1 hit “Backroad Song,” would be taking over the gig in January.

The gig will also allow Smith to deploy his Earl Dibbles, Jr. alter-ego to the delight of many fans. Smith will continue to tour, make music and host his Granger Smith Podcast.

“I’m incredibly honored to take the reins of After MidNite!” he says. “The unique opportunity to bring great music and speak to such a wide variety of listeners from 12am to 6am can have a profound impact on people’s lives and that responsibility is not lost on me. I’m so excited to get started!”
