CMA FEST Special Hits ABC Tonight!

Kelsea Ballerini and Thomas Rhett host the three hour, performance-packed summer time special event.

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to visit Nashville in early June to attend the CMA Music Festival (or “CMA Fest”), you’re in for a treat as the festival is set to air tonight on ABC TV from 8-11p Eastern and Pacific and from 7-10PM in the Central and Mountain time zones.

The iconic festival is known for it’s total takeover of Downtown Nashville (and ever expanding into other parts of the city) where it is wall to wall country music and related events, most of the event is even FREE to attend! (save for the nightly big stage concerts at Nissan Stadium and the Fan Fair X convention hall). It’s a diverse, inclusive event where new and old talent alike are featured and there’s always room for special collaborations and special pop-up shows and events.

The 47th annual CMA Fest has been a TV special for 15 years now, an unprecedented and impressive run. This year’s show will feature performances by Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Brothers Osborne, Kane Brown, Luke Bryan, Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Brett Eldredge, Florida Georgia Line, Sam Hunt, Dustin Lynch, Midland, Old Dominion, Jake Owen, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce, Thomas Rhett, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Cole Swindell, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, and Brett Young. Special guest collaborations include Lauren Alaina with Brown, Julia Michaels with Urban, Morgan Wallen with Florida Georgia Line, and Dwight Yoakam with Bentley.

Thomas Rhett returns to host for his third year in a row while he’s joined for a second year by Kelsea Ballerini. The CMA Fest TV Special is produced by Robert Deaton.

If you’re in Nashville tonight, you can head down to the Ole Red bar on Nashville’s Broadway for a special Viewing Party event hosted by Carly Pearce. Full details here.
