Aerosmith's Steven Tyler Recording Country Album

Aerosmith frontman lining up co-writers for future solo project made in Music City.

Over the weekend Billboard reported that Steven Tyler is in the studio working on a country music album and will sign with Big Machine Records to release it.

The album comes as the founding member and lead vocalist of Iconic band Aerosmith has relocated to Nashville and working on that album. The star was featured on the B-roll production package for Scott Borchetta’s American Idol profile segment along with Reba, Tim McGraw, and The Band Perry. He praised the executive for his hard work.

Tyler announced via Twitter last october that he would be working on a new country album, writing with top songwriters like Brett James (“Jesus Take The Wheel”) and Jaren Johnston of The Cadillac Three among other writers.

Look for the album to hit as early as winter 2015 or, more likely, in spring of 2016.
