Country Music's big 4th Quarter continues through November as massive superstar releases dot the release schedule in the weeks leading up to the annual holiday shopping period. There are a few Christmas music releases (with some hitting last week) to go along with the usual list of releases.
Starting with November 4, Ronnie Milsap's entire discography of albums has been boxed-up and packaged as The RCA Albums Collection. It features all 19 studio albums, a live recording and Milsap's Christmas album. The box is comprehensive with a 50+ page booklet containing liner notes for each album along with notes from The Country Music Hall of Fame's Peter Cooper and thoughts on each recording from Milsap himself. The Doobie Brothers' special project Southbound features the iconic vocal band performing with Country stars including Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Chris Young, Toby Keith, Charlie Worsham and more.
Garth Brooks will deliver his highly-anticipated Man Against Machine on November 11, 2014. The album, which features a baker's dozen tracks, is his first album of all-new material since 2001. George Strait's deluxe edition of The Cowboy Rides Away (a Walmart-exclusive CD/DVD set) hits stores as does the final Atlantic Records release from Zac Brown Band, their Greatest Hits: So Far project.
Trisha Yearwood returns with PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit her collection of new and old material recorded for her new label imprint Gwendolyn and released via RCA (just like her husband Garth Brooks is with RCA, so they will record a duets project at some point in the near future). Sara Evans drops her first Yuletide offering with At Christmas on November 17 while newcomers Maddie & Tae issue their first EP through digital markets. The EP will feature Top 10 hit "Girl In A Country Song."
November also features a pair of tribute releases as Neal McCoy's Pride: A Tribute To Charley Pride hit Cracker Barrel on November 3, 2014 in Deluxe form. Jeff Bates finally stopped running from the Conway Twitty comparisons and embraced 'em with his new album Me And Conway, a 12 track collection which features five new tracks and seven Conway Twitty covers, including a duet with Loretta Lynn on "After The Fire Is Gone."
