Toby Keith Announces New Benefit Events as Part of OK Kids Korral Foundation

Toby Keith's OK Kids Korral continues to receive attention from superstar with a bigger heart than many know exists under the gruff exterior and songs.

The Toby Keith Foundation is preparing for several golf tournaments to benefit its main project, OK Kids Korral. The Korral is a cost-free home for children battling cancer and their families, and has been open since January of this year.
The 11th Annual Toby Keith & Friends Golf Classic will take place on May 16-17, 2014. The event will begin with a dinner, auction and live entertainment at Riverwind Casino in Norman, Okla. and will end with a double shotgun golf tournament at Belmar Golf Club. The tournament features 42 teams paired with celebrities who have supported the event for years. Some of the celebrities include University of Oklahoma head coach Bob Stoops, former NBA player Sam Bowie, former NFL greats Dermontti Dawson and Tony Casillas and the great American storyteller Red Steagall. Kix Brooks and PGA Tour golfer Steve Stricker will also partake in the activities.
Last year, the Golf Classic raised one million dollars and allowed The Toby Keith Foundation to finish construction and open the doors of OK Kids Korral.

Also benefiting the Korral, the Toby Keith Foundation and Belmar Golf Club will host the 3rd Annual OK Kids Korral Championship. The Adams Golf Pro Tour Series event will take place from June 16-21, 2014 and will feature at least 100 pro golfers competing for the professional purse. In operation since 1994, the Adams Golf Pro Tour Series, a subsidiary of K&G Sports LLC., partners with local non-profits and provides an avenue for professional golfers to hone their skills while preparing for a life on the PGA Tour.

The event kicks off with a Pro-Am party and a Pro-Am tournament the next day. The professionals then square off in four rounds of golf with the trophy and purse being presented on the last day.  Visitors are welcome to attend the professional play from June 18-21.
