Adley Stump - “Like This” (TuneCore):
Heavy with the attitude, but a rock swagger rather than a rap one. She screams with charisma.
Brad Paisley - “I Can’t Change The World” (Arista):
It’s OK. I love the instrumentation. But, it just left me short of a spark.
The Band Perry - “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely” (Republic Nashville):
Maybe THE hit of the fall. Has crossover written all over it. Kimberly’s vocal is both vulnerable and confident. Harmonies are tight, as well.
Lexie Hayden - “Rainin’ On A Wednesday” (Independent):
Young and talented, song isn’t going to win any awards, but there’s some potential for the future.
Luke Bryan - “That’s My Kind Of Night”(Capitol Nashville):
Will be a crowd favorite, but hasn’t he recorded this song before?
Jake Owen - “Days Of Gold” (RCA Nashville):
Rollicking beat, Owen sounds like he’s having fun. Love the earthy feel of the verses. Should be a sing-a-long favorite in concert.
Jeff Bates - “Forever 17” (Skydancer Entertainment):
His voice is as distinctive as it has ever been. Song about everlasting love definitely deserves some attention.
Laura Bell Bundy - “Two Step” (Big Machine Records):
Bundy has always been a charmer, and she does so once again here. Sizzles like the humidity in the deep South.
Outshyne - “Moonlight Crush” (Millstar Entertainment):
Has a warm and inviting feel. Vocal is particularly effective.
Sam Hunt - “Raised On It” (Independent):
Sigh....
