For the past several years, Rodney Atkins has been cranking out hit after hit after hit, including "If You're Going Through Hell," "It's America," "These Are My People," "Farmer's Daughter" and "Take a Back Road," among countless others. Well good news for his fans ... Atkins is preparing a brand new album and readying for a release of a new tune to country radio very soon.
"We're ready to come with a new single any day," Atkins tells Roughstock. "We're actually probably half way finished with the album. My record label has made some changes in the last few weeks, so they're really kind of getting ready for us to launch the new single and new album. I'm excited."
As far as what we can expect? Fun, party anthems! "We're cutting some fun music ... kind of going towards some different directions than we've ever gone in, and also in a way going back to what I came to this town to do -- my partner who I first danced with when I first came to those songs ... those anthems. I believe in singing to the rural heart for folks who relate to down to earth songs."
