This year, we're revisiting some of the songs on our older list along with some new ones. We hope you enjoy this quick-take approach to Father's Day-themed songs or songs about fathers and their children. While not every song here is new to one of our lists, these ones particularly stand out this year, along with some new additions. Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

"The Greatest Man I Never Knew" - Reba McEntire

Simply a beautiful, honest song about realizing the impact the imposing father had on her, "how was I to know he thought I hung the moon."

"He Didn't Have To Be" - Brad Paisley

One of Brad Paisley's earliest hits, this tune is a poignant statement of love for the men who CHOOSE to be fathers of another man's children and the impact that it has on their own lives.

"Dance With My Father" - Buddy Jewell

Performed for a collection of father's day songs, "Dance With My Father" was never a big country hit for Jewell (it wasn't even released to radio) but it remains one of his best performances.

"Daddies and Daughters" - Kevin Fowler

From his most recent album "Chippin' Away," this ballad showcases the normally goofy, good-natured man's softer side, that for the love he has for his daughter.

"That's My Job" - Conway Twitty

Quite simply. A Classic that gets even more timeless with each passing year.

"Drive" - Alan Jackson

Heartfelt, honest, real. In other word's country music.

A Father's Love (The Only Way He Knew How) - Bucky Covington / High Valley

Both Bucky Covington and High Valley have had quite a bit of success (one in the USA, the other in Canada) with this poignant ballad.

Daddy Dance With Me - Krystal Keith

One of the newer songs on this list, Krystal surprised her dad with this ballad when they had their daddy/daughter dance. It brought the big man to tears (or close to tears) and listening to it, it's easy to see why.

Just Fishin' - Trace Adkins

One of Adkins' biggest hits and one of three songs on this list. Quite simply the big tall man with the gruff exterior melts when around his daughters and it's easy to see with the emotion poured into "Just Fishin'."

"The Car" - Jeff Carson

Anyone who has been able to bond over an activity with their dad, be it rebuilding a car, collecting baseball cards or watching sports or going to concerts or fishing will certainly relate to the lyrics and sentiment in here.

"I'll Keep The Kids" - Montgomery Gentry

Ripped right from Eddie Montgomery's own life, "I'll Keep The Kids" is the perfect example of man stepping up to take care of his children when his soon to be Ex seemed to have no desire to. that's father of the year material right there.

"I'm Already There" - Lonestar

Perhaps the band's finest moment and the peak of their radio playlist powers, "I'm Already There" is a poignant ballad about the power of love a man has for his kids, even when he's on the road and away from 'em.

"Best Seat In The House" - LoCash Cowboys

One of three songs that are about Child/parent relationships, "Best Seat In The House" may be the best one on LoCash Cowboys. It's about the eternal love a father and son have for each other, even if it's bittersweet.

"Keep In Mind" - LoCash Cowboys

The duo's first Top 40 hit, this one is about parenthood and how parents will always worry about their children, no matter their age, no matter how far away they are from them, especially when they leave home for the first time.

"Love Without End, Amen" - George Strait

What else can be said about one of The King's great songs of everlasting love for your children.

"Watching You" - Rodney Atkins

Written about his own son, "Watching You" was part of Rodney Atkins' break-out in 2006 and it remains a very good song.

"My Little Girl" - Tim McGraw

Beautiful and heartfelt and one of the few songs Tim's actually written.

"You're Gonna Miss This" - Trace Adkins

Anyone who complains about the mundane and arguments of youth and their children's little things should listen to this and remember. Trace Adkins certainly does.

"The Journey Of Your Life" - Jake Owen

This one's more about the wisdom sent down from a Grandfather to a Grandson but it's still a poignant song and worthy of being on this list.

"Then They Do" - Trace Adkins

About the way time seems to sneak up on you and what seemed like a long time to go somehow has become a graduation.

"Family Man" - Craig Campbell

A song about everything a man does to provide for his children, ripped right from Craig's life at the time he wrote the song.

"Endless Summer" - Aaron Lewis

A song about a father and his daughters singing along to the radio. One of the few 'uptempo' songs on this list, it definitely fits a Father's Day theme.

"When She Grows Up" - Craig Campbell

From Craig's Never Regret, "When She Grows Up" finds Craig inspired by different things, particularly his young daughter and what she inspires him to be, "What she sees in me, that's what I want to be when she grows up."

"Anything Like Me" - Brad Paisley

Honest and humorous. Two of Paisley's best qualities. It's also the song that finds him wondering if his son will be as rambunctious as he was himself when growing up.

"One Wing In The Fire" - Trent Tomlinson

Real-life, adult things are described here. This is a loving song about father's day from an adult child's perspective.

"The Best Day" - George Strait

A sweet song from Latest Straitest Greatest Hits this is a son that's really poignant, sweet and a song about the bond between a father and a son and how that bond grows stronger through the years.

"My Wish" - Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts have more than a few 'hits' like this but this one stands out for its hopefulness and view of what the man wishes his child to become.

"I Think About You" - Collin Raye

One of Collin's biggest hits, this song from the I Think About You album finds a man seeing his daughter in many of the women he meets and hoping or wishing that some of those women aren't what his daughter's life will become. It also finds him doing what he does (a police officer) so that his daughter can live a great life.
