The Weekly Single Recap - April 19, 2013: Lee Brice, Chase Rice, Randy Rogers Band, Chuck Wicks & More

This week's list of new singles includes Chase Rice, Love and Theft, Krystal Keith, Lee Brice, newcomers Bonner Black, Madison Mckenzie and the return of Randy Rogers Band, Amber Hayes and Susan Ashton. Read on here for quick hitting thoughts on 10 new country singles.

Chase Rice - “How She Rolls” (Dack Janiels):

Sings about pickup trucks, moonlight, and blue jean tans. And, he has plenty of attitude. I think I have heard this before.

Love and Theft - “If You Ever Get Lonely: (RCA Nashville):

Cool groove, and the harmonies are air-tight. Should be another slam dunk.

Krystal Keith - “Daddy Dance With Me” (Show Dog-Universal):

Pretty tune that could be a huge wedding song in the future. Vocally, she has come a long way.

Lee Brice - “Parking Lot Party” (Curb):

Brice adds just the right amount of roughness on a song that should be a huge summer hit. Overuse of the word “party,” but still entertaining!

Madison McKenzie - “My Friend” (Independent)

Vocally, I like it. She shows a lot of promise. Sweetly sung and performed.

Amber Hayes - “Any Day Is A Good Day” (GMV Nashville):

Amber Hayes just continues to grow by leaps and bounds. Restrained production brings her stunning voice to the forefront.

Susan Ashton - “Love Is Alive” (BE Entertainment):

Bouncy! Happy. Roll down the windows and go back in time. Ashton sounds like she is having a blast. You will too!

Chuck Wicks - “Salt Life” (Independent):

One of the format’s most refreshing voices returns with a track that makes me want to head to the beach.

Randy Rogers Band - “Fuzzy” (MCA Nashville):

I didn’t want to like it, as it starts off kind of cliche-ridden, but the chorus puts me back in his corner. Kind of reminds me of 90s era Billy Ray Cyrus.

Bonner Black - “Pretty Little Liar” (Independent)

OK. Not earth-shaking, but not bad. She’s caused a lot of buzz, so I will assume there’s more where this comes from....
