Kacey Musgraves has spent the past couple of years honing her songwriting and vocals while becoming one of the few female artists to score some solo success in the Texas Music scene, all of this after appearing on Nashville Star a few years back. In addition, Kasey was also featured on a pair of Josh Abbott Band tracks which hit the Top 40 of national country radio. That work pays off March 19, 2013 with the release of Same Trailer Different Park.
Now signed to Mercury Records Nashvile, Kasey went into the studio with songwriters Luke Laird and Shane McAnally to create the 12 tracks that make up Same Trailer Different Park, her debut for the label. The album features the lead single "Merry Go Round," a song Kacey wrote with McAnally and Josh Osborne and just hit the Country Radio Top 10, a few weeks before the album is set to be released. Kacey has also previewed "Follow Your Arrow" for radio and has found them receptive to the song.
