Keith Urban's "Long Hot Summer" Hits #1

It's now a Baker's Dozen of #1 hits for Keith Urban as "Long Hot Summer" has achieved the feat of becoming the the latest #1 hit of his career, joining "Without You" as his second #1 hit of 2011, both songs from Get Closer, Keith's latest Gold album.

2011 continues to be an amazing year for Keith Urban as he joins a handful of artists lucky enough to have scored more than one hit single in 2011, joining Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley, Jason Aldean, Chris Young, and Kenny Chesney as the only artists to score more than one chart-topping hit this year with “Long Hot Summer” joining “Without You.”

The #1 hit makes it 13 chart-toppers for Keith joining 2oo1’s “But For The Grace Of God,” “Somebody Like You,” “Who Wouldn’t Want To Be Me,” “You’ll Think Of Me,” “Days Go By,” “Making Memories Of Us,” “Better Life,” “You Look Good In My Shirt,” “Start A Band,” “Sweet Thing,” “Only You Can Love Me This Way,” and “Without You.”

Keith’s also nominated for 2011 Entertainer of the Year and Male Vocalist of the Year for next month’s CMA Awards telecast. Urban will film his appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show today and the episode will air Tuesday, October 11th. During the show, Urban will perform his new single “You Gonna Fly” and promote his new men’s cologne, PHOENIX by Keith Urban.

In conjunction with People.com, Urban recently launched a nationwide contest to create a thirty second commercial spot for PHOENIX by Keith Urban. The grand prize winner will be hand selected by Urban and their commercial will be broadcast on national network television after the conclusion of the promotion.
