While iTunes is undoubtedly the #1 music retailer in the USA (and perhaps the world), Amazon.com has been coming on with their ability to join labels in offering specially priced mp3 albums of the hottest and newest albums on the market. And, one of the great things about mp3 downloads is that you can sample a song or two for 2-3$ but rarely do you have the chance to get a full album from an interesting new or established artist at anything below the $5 mark. Amazon.com’s mp3 store has quite a few interesting albums for $5-7 but now they have a few albums that are only $3.99. Taylor Swift’s Speak Now leads the way as the $3.99 chart-topper but she’s joined by the debut from The Band Perry and Sugarland’s new “experimental” release in the $3.99 realm. For the price of 3-4 songs you now can have these artist’s full albums. These seem like a fantastic bargain to us, even if you’re not a big fan of their past work or are hesitant to get the records; $3.99 is an easy investment.
