Lady Antebellum Launches First Ever Headlining Tour

Continuing the amazing success 2010 has brought them, ACM Top Vocal Group Lady Antebellum has announced the launch of their first ever headlining tour this fall.  Dubbed the Need You Now 2010 Tour, the tour is being sponsored by Dr. Pepper and will hit 35 cities this fall starting in September.  David Nail will be their opening act on the tour.

Eric Church Moves To Headline Stage on Country Throwdown Tour

After packing crowds of fans on the “Outlaw Stage,” Eric Church has been moved over to the main, headliner stage with his full band.  Church, who was playing acoustic gigs, is noted for his passionate shows.  The Country  Throwdown tour features Montgomery Gentry, Jack Ingram, Eli Young Band, Little Big Town, Jamey Johnson, The Lost Trailers, Heidi Newfield, Emily West, Jonathan Singleton & the Grove, Walker Hays, Tyler Reeve and more.  There are three stages with the Bluebird stage serving as the third one.  The Country Throwdown Tour hits Cincinnati today, Tinley Park, IL tomorrow and Noblesville, IN on Sunday.  Click here for more info and other dates of the tour.

Chris Young To Release 3 song “Voices” Digital EP

Fresh off the success of consecutive #1 hits in “Getting You Home (The Black Dress Song)” and “The Man I Want To Be,” Chris Young is relasing a small EP of classic country songs done by him acoustically.  The EP features John Anderson’s “Swingin’,” Vern Gosdin’s 1989 hit “Chisled In Stone” and Keith Whitley’s posthumous hit “I’m Over You.”  Young is going to be re-issuing “Voices” as a single to radio as well.  It was the original lead-single from The Man I Want To Be in 2008. 

Newcomer Matt Gary Partners with New Revolution For Radio Promotion

Newcomer Matt Gary, who has his own label under the 17 Music Entertainment banner,  has partnered with New Revolution Entertainment will spearhead the major market radio promotion for his upcoming single “I’m Just Sayin’.”  The song, written by Frank Myers, Gary Baker and Billy Montana was produced by Myers, as was the entire upcoming full-length album project.  The Meade Group, Inc. has signed on as a consultant working on day-to-day operations, marketing, sponsorship and touring.  New Revolution has promoted recent hits like “Chicken Fried,” Lee Brice’s Top 20 hit “Love Like Crazy,” Emerson Drive’s #1 hit “Moments” and Darryl Worley’s recent hit “Sounds Like Life” among many others.  Look for a feature article on Matt Gary in the coming weeks.  The “I’m Just Sayin’” single is one of 21 tracks that featured on the CMA Music Festival exclusive collection Roughstock Country Music Compilation Volume 2. It will be available at the Roughstock booth during the 4 day CMA Music Festival June 10-13, 2010.
