Country star Taylor Swift not only turned 20 this weekend but the country star made sure she shared the gift-giving love by donating $250,000 to public schools across the country. These are schools that she has either attended or worked with throughout the years and the money will be used to fund book purchases, programs and some teacher salaries.
"Something I wanted to do at the end of this amazing year and especially on my birthday was give back to something I really believe in, which is education," says Swift. "The schools that I went to and the amazing people I got to learn from really turned me into who I am, and I wanted to give back."
As for her first birthday of her 20s, Swift held a holiday-themed party for her friends and family at her Hendersonville, TN home.
