Amber Digby To Make Opry Debut This Saturday

Texas-based, Nashville Native Amber Digby will be making her Grand Ole Opry debut this Saturday when she shares the stage with Host and country music legend Ronnie Milsap.  Digby will be there in support of her new release Another Way To Live.

Texas-based, Nashville native Amber Digby will return home this weekend to make her debut on the Grand Ole Opry.  The independent ‘traditionalist’ has secured the coveted spot through sheer hard work.  She will sing “Silent Night (After the Fight)”, a song recorded by Ronnie Milsap many years ago. The song is from Digby’s just released fourth album, Another Way to Live.

“Ronnie Milsap wanted me to be on the show,” Digby said. “His manager called me and said ‘Would you like to be on the Opry?’ He said I’m going to try and see if I can make it happen. Two days later, I received an e-mail. When I read the e-mail, I screamed and called (my husband) Randy immediately. We called everybody and told everybody – put it on Facebook and myspace.”

Digby’s mother and aunt have both worked with Milsap, leading to that connection and she will appear on the segment of the show that he is hosting, which will take place at the original opry home, The Ryman Auditorium.

“Just the thought of it is amazing,” said an ecstatic Digby. “It’s really cool because there’s a lot of history there. The first time my dad, mom, aunts, uncles played the Opry, it was at the Ryman Auditorium.”
