Taylor Swift Wins Award at MTV VMA's, Kanye West Erupts in Protest?

Last night on MTV's Video Music Awards current country music darling Taylor Swift was interrupted during her acceptance speech byrapper Kanye West who appeared furious that Beyonce lost the award to Taylor. Was this whole event real or scripted? What say you?

Last night's Video Music Awards from Radio City Music Hall in New York City featured Taylor Swift taking home the "Best Female Video of the Year" and before Taylor Swift could finish her acceptance speech, rapper Kanye West interrupted her saying "Yo, Taylor I'm really happy for you, I'll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!"  Beyonce appeared to be stunned by this sudden outbirst from Kanye, as did Taylor and the whole audience.

What wasn't said about this whole event was that it was likely a scripted event with everybody involved -Taylor, Beyonce and Kanye- acting the whole thing out.  Swift, who won her award with the video "You Belong With Me" (watch here), is a master of these 'scripted' events and it has helped her get her whole fanbase, which is as much, if not more than Beyonce and Kanye's at this given point, behind her.  It also creates new hype for Taylor's album and videos.

Taylor, who was eventually allowed to finish her acceptance speech, later heard her name chanted when Diddy announced Kanye West as one of the nominees for Best Male Video.  She also later went on to play "You Belong With Me" from a subway nearby the VMA site.

Watch the video here and tell us what you think.  Do you think the whole event was scripted? Do you think Kanye was repeating his 2004 response when Gretchen Wilson beat him for the "Best New Artist" grammy? Do you think that it was scripted because of that reaction to being 'beaten' by a country audience?  Do you think it wasn't scripted?  We want to hear from you!
