Halfway To Hazard - "I Know Where Heaven Is"

The duo, known for the hit singles "Daisy" and "The Devil & The Cross" has returned to the airwaves with this single.  Does the song have enough to be their true breakthrough hit?  Will radio come around to their brand of rock-influenced country music?

After recording one record for UMG Nashville/Stylesonic Records, Halfway to Hazard have parted with the major label while retaining their partnership with Tim McGraw’s Stylesonic Records.  Picnic Hill Records and Bigger Picture Entertainment (the guys who got Zac Brown Band into the Top 10) have teamed with Stylesonic for Halfway To Hazard’s upcoming sophomore album.

While the band’s label team may now be ‘independent,’ the production of “I Know Where Heaven Is” is anything but cheap as the duo of Chad Warrix and David “D-Tox” Tolliver return to the airwaves with something that as good, if not better than anything on their self-titled debut release.  Written by Dave Berg , Sam and Annie Tate, “I Know Where Heaven Is” serves as a great reminder that “heaven” may be where we’re from but as long as you’re comfortable where you are, with ones you love then that is truly where your own personal heaven is.

Has this kind of lyric been done before? Sure.  But just because the theme is familiar and universal, that doesn’t mean the song isn’t worth hearing. With punch guitars, a thumpin’ rhythm section and the duo’s steady vocals, “I Know Where Heaven Is” is certainly a song worthy of any airplay it receives.
