Richie Fields - "When You Love Someone That Much"

Richie Fields scored a pair of emotional hit singles from his digital album "Man Enough To Cry" and returns to the spotlight with this single which has the feel and sound of a song that's ready to break him open to a wide audience.  Does the track have enough to do it?

Richie Fields released a pair of strong singles last year ("Devil In The Mirror" and "Man Enough To Cry") and scored some success with them on the Music Row charts that cater to small-mid market or "secondary" country radio stations.  With a new management team and producer in his corner, Richie Fields has recorded some new tracks and this song, is the first fruit of the new team's labor.  Written by Chip Martin and Jan Linville, "When You Love Someone That Much" features a progressive rhythm section and the production quality is immediately evident as the crack session band provides Richie with a groove from which to sing the inspirational lyric about the true power of love, be it a mother, a father or God.  It's a theme that has proven to be popular with audiences and with J. Gary Smith's steady hand guiding the production, this single certainly fits right in within what is currently played on country radio. In fact, Richie's emotive baritone vocal really shines and there's no reason that he couldn't get this song to rise up the charts the same way that other indie stars have recently.

Note:If you are coming down to Nashville for the CMA Fan Festival June 11-14 (tickets here), you can visit the Roughstock booth in the Chevy Fan Zone to get a free compilation CD that features 16 great songs and includes this single.  We're also selling a 5$ t-shirt with a popular country phrase on it.  We hope to see you there!
