Kenny Chesney - "Out Last Night"

After scoring a #1 hit with the acoustic duet "Down The Road" with Mac McAnally, Kenny Chesney returns to the airwaves for a song that's perfect for the spring and summer months.  Does the song recall past rockin' bar room hits or the softer, beachy side of Chesney?

It's that time of year again. It's time for another spring/summer party anthem from Kenny Chesney and with "Out Last Night" the country superstar doesn't disappoint.  But here's the catch; the song has more country melodies in it than many of his other summer up-tempo tracks of the years past.  While those hits favored amped up guitars, this one feels more like a cross between Kenny's island vibe and his early career traditional-leaning tracks.  Written with Brett James, the song's lyrics tell that fun summer story that will be played in bars for years to come.

Fans who dislike Chesney's island songs will certainly appreciate his return to a more traditional sound (he's a very good traditional country singer) but those looking for another "rocker" may have to seek out stuff from Jason Aldean or Rodney Atkins instead for "Out Last Night" is more "Chicken Fried" than "She's Country.”
