This is utterly terrible...seriously. Unless you know that you can do the song just as well or better, leave it to the original artist. The Kings of Leon version is impossible to top. This is just a second rate musician trying to cash in on the success of a brilliant band's song.

I agree with Betty. And, it isn't a "remake." It is a unique country version of a great rock song. Margaret Durante makes it her own. Also, new artists often debut with familiar songs before introducing originals.

I think debuting with a remake is fine if the new artist does it with the same quality or better. I think Margaret's version is GREAT!!! She brings a certain authenticity to the lyrics. I totally relate:-).

Why would you debut with a remake? Use somebody is a awesome song but only when sang by Kings of Leon. Some songs should not be remade.
