Well if this is true then are we just listening to a so-so bar singer's (with well a known fiancee and 'mother')cover of other people's songs? (Home-Michael Buble, Who are you when I am not looking- Joe Nichols, Ol Red -George Jones.) So I am going with a no on that.

Jesse, Rhett Akins wrote and released the song before Blake. Rhett's now concentrating on his songwriting career more than as an artist.
