One of the best singer/songwriters working in the music business today, Jeremy McComb is also one of it’s biggest hustlers as his past years exploring every facet of the entertainment industry has informed his storytelling artistry as he’s hit the Billboard charts, managed big tours and worked in radio along the way. He’s released five albums through the years and is set to release an EP which features this great new song, a tune paying homage to the late Dusty Hill which was written with buddy Rick Huckaby. The immensely talented Caroline Jones joined Jeremy in the studio to ad some stellar harmonies on the summer anthem.
“That one was just kind of fun. I was listening to ‘I’m Bad, I’m Nationwide’ and the opening lyric is ‘I’m riding down the road on some cold blue steel, I got my bluesman in the back and a beautician at the wheel.’ I wanted to write something that felt like that. I had this line ‘you were faster than a 66 hard top and I was ragged as a rusted old farm truck,’” shares McComb. “And it was kind of the story of back before I knew you, I really wanted you and now I wish I could go back before I knew you.”
“Back Before I Knew Ya” follows behind the release of his latest singles “Burned Out” (premiered by Center Stage Magazine) and “Last Man Standing,” a potent one-two punch and his best performing singles to date, garnering 2 million combined streams and growing. Jeremy will also be touring the U.S. this summer with a plethora of dates across the country.
