With several #1 hits to his credit, Jimmie Allen's follow-up to the #1 "Freedom Was A Highway," "Down Home," is an equally impressive song from the rising superstar. Written by Jimmie with Cameron Bedell, Rian Ball and Tate Howell, the song made its world debut on the ACM Awards, a show he co-hosted with Gabby Barrett and Dolly Parton. This one is a tribute to Jimmie’s late father and even though it’s certainly specific to his own life, the song, like all great country songs, is relatable to anyone who choses to let the words into their life. It feels like another hit to my ears and has me eagerly anticipating his next album for Stoney Creek Records/BBR Music Group.
