Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver - "Little Girl"

We're proud to debut the new track from "Life Is A Story," the award-winning band's latest album for Mountain Home Music Company.

You may remember this song from a few years back when John Michael Montgomery scored a bit country hit with it. The emotional story song -- written by the late, great Harley Allen -- is giving a refreshed roots-y arrangement from Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. From their new album out Friday, Life Is A Story, the song features bass player Eli Johnston on lead vocals. It's a great song and it works quite well for the band and is just one of the dozen track from Life Is A Story which serve as a great gateway into the Bluegrass genre if you're looking for something that has more roots instrumental music than mainstream music has to offer these days. Eli Johnston is joined by Doyle Lawson on Mandolin and baritone vocals, Josh Swift on guitar, Joe Dean on Banjo, Stephen Burwell on fiddles, and Dustin Pyrtle on tenor vocals and guitar.
