David Fanning - "Doin' Country Right"

Take a Listen to the award-winning producer/artist's sophomore single here. It's sure to be a polarizing (love it or hate it) kind of song.

This song will be an interesting look into how much country music radio is ready to have a song that repeats parts of the chorus. David Fanning's second official single (after The Highway favorite "Drink You Away" from 2014) is certainly one that's going to get everyone's attention. It will be a love it or hate it kind of single.

"Doin' Country Right" kinda has the same mechanism as Blake Shelton's "Boys Round Here" did.

The song was written by Josh Osborne, Heather Morgan and Jimmy Robbins.

“From the very first time I heard the song I couldn’t get it out of my head - and I still can’t!” says Fanning. “There are so many different ways that people ‘do country.’ No matter who you are or what walk of life you come from, you can ‘do country right’ whether you are living it or listening to it.”

Take a listen above. We'd love to hear what you think.

Not my favorite. Everything everybody seems to be talking about getting old in country music is wrapped up in this tune. Boring and the drawing out the last phrase or word of the phrase got extremely annoying quick. Had to have the obligatory "red dirt" reference too. I'll pass on this one personally.
