Lorrie Morgan's stellar new classics album A Moment In Time, which she recorded for Country Crossing Records, is now available to purchase everywhere but Amazon.com has the best deal as it is Today's 'dailiy download' special.

After a few weeks topping the Nielsen SoundScan Hot 200 Albums charts, country music’s cavalcade of stars fell-off the Top spot (Colbie Calliat took the mantle from Reba) but four of the Top 10 albums this week were country records (5 of the Top 11).

For the second week in a row a country music album debuts at the top slot on the albums sales chart as “Twang” is the 4th George Strait album to top the Hot 200 Albums chart compiled by Nielsen SoundScan for Billboard.  How did other country albums fare this week?

A year wouldn't be complete in country music without the release of a George Strait record.  With "Twang," George Strait has returned with a first; an album featuring more than one song co-written by him.  How do they sound next to the old hits?

For the first time in his career, George Strait has a single that he co-wrote on the charts.  "Livin' For The Night" (written with his son Bubba and Dean Dillon) is but one of three songs co-written by the King of Country Music while Bubba has another self-written track on "Twang."
