When he released The Crow, most people who didn't know much about Steve Martin's banjo skills would've thought he was making some kind of goofy, musical comedy. He wasn't. Now he's back with his sophomore album. Is it good?

On Tuesday, November 3, 2009 the multi-talented Steve Martin gave an passionate performance concert with his banjo.  Playing with him during the show was the bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers. Music and humor mixed together made for a great night.

Bluegrass music can get 'showy' and while the Steep Canyon Rangers are gifted in every way, the five-piece band doesn't get too crazy on this fine new release produced by Ronnie Bowman for Rebel Records.
