While both Lonestar and original lead singer Richie McDonald experienced a little success apart from each other the past couple of years, they always seemed destined to reunite, which the band announced today. Read on to find out more from the band themselves!

With Slow Down now available for purchase, Richie McDonald has returned to country music with the kind of album that rarely gets made anymore, a 'ballads' album steeped in real life.  In this interview, Richie talks about the new album and how it fits where his life is now.

Richie McDonald has released a few projects since leaving Lonestar but none of them was a complete country album.  Take a listen to "Footprints On The Moon," the first single from his solo debut Slow Down.

In the spirit of the season there are quite a few ways to get free christmas tunes from country artists.  Rascal Flatts have recently recorded "Away In A Manger" and have chosen to give it away while Becky Schlegel and Sean Patrick McGraw have free songs as well.

One of the great things about country music is that its artists are always willing to come together for a cause.  The cause in this case is the destroyed town of Enterprise, Alabama.  Ten Country stars have lent their talents to "We Are Enterprise," an uplifting collection of tunes benefiting the rebuilding of the town's High School.

Former Lonestar lead vocalist Richie McDonald has released his debut single as a solo artist.  With a sound that recalls lonestar's biggest hits, the song certainly finds McDonald in fine voice.  The biggest question is whether fans and radio want him back enough to make the song a hit.  And if they do, is this song worthy of being one?
