Carrie Underwood is this week's chart queen as her third album Play On debuts on the top spot of the charts.  Teen Queen Taylor Swift's venerable Fearless album follows next and this week saw a remarkable sales growth for virtually every country release.

You better take this from me: Carrie Underwood’s Play On is like a disease.  This disease is one that assaults your senses so that you are now listening to contemporary country pop record.  Is this good or bad? Or is it both?
