Nashville star named Melissa Lawson the winner of the show on August 4th and released this single August 5th on iTunes (and to radio). It's a coronation single so it has a 'message' about dreams coming true. But is it any good?

Here's one of the many songs that Jeffrey Steele, currently a judge on Nashville Star, has recorded.  It's a song that was recently on an album by Montgomery Gentry (Some People Change).  It can be found on Jeffrey's "Outlwaw" album.

Why do country music labels decide to sign and foster reality show contestants at the expense of nuturing and promoting talent organically? We come up with a couple reasons and a solution to the problem.

So what do we make of the mess that appears to be Nashville Star. They have good judges who are actually relevent to the current country climate but NBC then hires a VH1 reality show producers to choose the contestents?
