The CMA announced their latest round of performers for the 43rd edition of the Country Music Assoication Awards.  Tim McGraw and Vince Gill were announced along with six other acts, including rock band Daughtry.  Should a rock band be allowed on a country show?

It’s another strong week on the Nielsen SoundScan Hot 200 Albums and Hot Country Albums charts this week as superstar Toby Keith returns to the top charts with his latest album, American Ride. While that was a given, how did the other new releases fare this week?

It was a night to remember for around 30,000 Kenny Chesney Fans on August 1st, 2009 as Chesney played to a packed crowd.  Joining Chesney were Sugarland, Montgomery Gentry, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum.  Click here to see pictures and video.

After debuting this single on the ACM Awards last month, many people were quick to assume that Miranda was dropping her 'edge' for a more polished, softer approach so that she could get even more airplay.  Does "Dead Flowers" really feel like a 'sell-out?'
