Grammy award winning country music vocalist and songwriter Marty Raybon has signed with one of the oldest and most-respected of roots music labels, Rural Rhythm Records, and is heading into the studio to record a new Bluegrass album to be released in early 2012.

While a studio can mask virtually any singers shortcomings and pitch problems, the live performance is where the true artist and studio creations become distanced from each other. On April 8, 2010 Marty Raybon showcased how rock-solid his live perforance skills are.

For about 25 years Marty Raybon has been recording music and while many artists have come and gone he’s still around making music.  The concept for this album was to make a modern yet rootsy record.  Did he succeed?

Since the mid 1980s, Marty Raybon has been having hits as a recording artist, first with his band Shenandoah then as a duo with his brother Tim and later as a solo artist.  In this interview, Marty discusses his new project At His Best with us.
