While mainstream country has seemingly gotten further and further away from its roots, it's always refreshing to hear a singer of Lee Ann Womack's caliber on the radio.  With this song, she has returned some tradition to the charts, and onto our year-end best-of list.

Lee Ann Womack scrapped a whole album deciding that she was recording it just to record something.  After taking some time off, she returned with "Call Me Crazy" an album which takes it's title from a lyric in the lead single "Last Call."  Is the album as interesting as the cover art?

Lee Ann Womack knows how to play the heart strings of America. "I Hope You Dance" remains synonymous with Kleenex the way that Budweiser goes with Buffalo wings. However, having scrapped an album of tear-jerking ballads, Womack does not go for power pop here. Instead she offers up the sultry "Last Call."
