Jamey Johnson has been crowned the savior of traditional country music in some circles but the announcement today of his duet with Kid Rock for a performance on the Wednesday November 11, 2009 telecast is sure to ruffle some feathers.

Randy Houser and Jamey Johnson collectively announced today that they were partering up for a 30 city fall tour for CMT's 2009 edition of "CMT on Tour."  Houser and Johnson are longtime friends and co-writers and both released critically acclaimed albums last year.

While it tumbled from the top spot to third on the SoundScan Top 200 Albums chart, Rascal Flatts' "Unstoppable" album remained on top of the Country Albums chart while the album's first single "Here Comes Goodbye" tops the singles chart.  How did everyone else do?

Jamey Johnson learned today that his sophomore, self-financed and produced album "That Lonesome Song" has been certified "Gold" for sales of 500,000 copies by The RIAA.
