It’s Wednesday again so if you’re a regular reader of Roughstock you know what today is – it’s SoundScan day – and this week’s chart-topping country album comes from Tim McGraw. Who else finds themselves on this week's Hot Country Albums chart?

For what seems like the billionth time, Taylor Swift continues her dominance of the Nielsen SoundScan Hot Country Albums charts with her Fearless album continuing to sell thousands of copies per week. How did the rest of country music's Top 10 shake out this week?

Last week ABC television broadcasted 2009 CMA Music Festival; Country's Night To Rock and the show not only was a winner for ABC and the CMA but a great showcase for the country music artists who participated in the event with this week's charts serving as proof.

After a few weeks topping the Nielsen SoundScan Hot 200 Albums charts, country music’s cavalcade of stars fell-off the Top spot (Colbie Calliat took the mantle from Reba) but four of the Top 10 albums this week were country records (5 of the Top 11).

For the second week in a row a country music album debuts at the top slot on the albums sales chart as “Twang” is the 4th George Strait album to top the Hot 200 Albums chart compiled by Nielsen SoundScan for Billboard.  How did other country albums fare this week?

Country Music wasn't on the Grammy Awards that much last week but that didn't stop Taylor Swift from reclaiming the Top spot on the charts for the 9th time in 14 weeks on the charts.  Alison Krauss and Robert Plant's "Raising Sand" placed second after winning the "Top Album."
