After achieving success as a southwestern band, Denton, TX.'s Eli Young Band has made the move to the national scene.  With their album "Jet Black & Jealous" recently released, the band was honored to be chosen by Yahoo! Music as a hot "Who's Next" band.

With the release of Major label debut "Jet Black & Jealous" imminent, Eli Young Band's Mike Eli took the time out of his busy schedule to talk with Roughstock about his band's roots, the recording process behind the new album and addressed those who think the band has sold out.

Eli Young Band has recently aligned with Republic/Universal South Records for their next album "Jet Black and Jealous." Here's a video of a single from their previous album "Level."

The old adage of "work hard and you will reap big rewards" has come true for the Texas-based Eli Young Band. After forming as a group of 18-year-olds, the group has slowly built up their brand over the course of eight years of hard work. They recently signed with Universal Republic/Universal South and distributed this single.
