Dave Matthews announced today that he would be appearing on the 43rd Country Music Awards show, which they bill as "Country Music's Biggest Night." Dave will be joining Farm Aid buddy Kenny Chesney in a performance of thier hit duet "I'm Alive."

This is a song hardly anybody expected to find its way to country radio, but damn if I'm not glad it has.  Intropsective pieces of music rarely come from the genres biggest stars and this one truely feels like it's straight from Kenny's heart, something that's good to see.

For his latest release, Kenny Chesney had decided to get introspective and as a result he's released an intimate, mostly personal album.  It's not "Old Blue Chair 2" but this is definitely not a 'driving' album.  Despite that, the album works, and in places, works really well.
