Outpacing the competition,Jason Aldean leads the way with four nominations for this year’s 2011 CMT MUSIC AWARDS, it was announced this morning live on the “Today” show by CMT’s Evan Farmer and hosts Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb.

This week's chart numbers - with no big new releases - truly reflected the reach of both the CMT Music Awards and Nashville's CMA Music Festival.  Most of the country albums on this week's rundown experienced great sales gains or at least remained where they were. 

In today's news round-up we have some news about performers scheduled to appear on the fan-voted CMT Music Awards telecast in June, News about Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and James Otto.
