After the unexpected 'death' of "Cheater, Cheater" at country radio, likely due to some station's moral objections to the phrase "white trash ho," Joey+Rory arereturning to radio with this song, an interesting reworking of the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic.  Does this version measure up?

Joey+Rory - The Life Of A Song

At the suggestion of friends, Joey+Rory decided to enter CMT's "Can You Duet" despite never really actively singing together.  The husband-and-wife team wound up in the Top 3 of the show and gained a lot of loyal fans in the process. "The Life Of A Song" is their debut album and it showcases the suparstar vocals of Joey paired with her husband's wonderful songwriting.  It sounds perfect but do they have the songs to break through?

Coming virtually out of nowhere with a compelling, made-for-TV love story, Joey + Rory have proven that talent rises to the top.  Proof of that is this single which is Roughstock's 28th favorite single of the year.  Not bad for a duo that really didn't perform as one before 2008.
