With two #1 hits under his belt from his third album Little Bit of Life Billy Currington certainly is understandibly riding high.  Will this new single continue the hit streak or does it signal a 'safe' approach to garnering airplay in hopes of a solid, middle of the road career?

The CMA announced their latest round of performers for the 43rd edition of the Country Music Assoication Awards.  Tim McGraw and Vince Gill were announced along with six other acts, including rock band Daughtry.  Should a rock band be allowed on a country show?

Sugarland announced their tour today and the artists they've selected to tour with them include Jake Owen, Billy Currington and singer/songwriters Matt Nathanson and Eric Hutchinson, both of whom fit in with the genre bending Sugarland like a glove.

Very few male vocalists have the kind of voice that sounds right at home singing tradtional country songs and Billy Currington is one of them.  With songs like this one and "Good Directions" he certainly keeps the traditional flame alive but will fans graivate to it like we do?

It's that time of the week again, it's time for the Soundscan chart numbers.  With 176,414 copies sold, Kenny Chesney's "Lucky Old Sun" Landed on top. While it was a great week for Kenny, John Michael Montgomery's return netted him the less-than stellar place of 172 with "Time Flies.
