Surpises come everyday and that's what happened upon listening to Alex Woodard's self-titled album.  Expecting something more rock than country, I was plesantly surprised with the amount of country that was present on the disc.  Standout tracks include "Beautiful Now" "Older," and "Reno."  While those are great tracks there is more to like about this Adrenaline Music release.

Alex Woodard is a singer/songwriter from San Diego, CA who happens to also be a surfer.  Teaming up with fellow surfer Sara Watkins (of Nickel Creek), Woodard has created a mighty fine folk/country ballad.
